ah steve my rimutaka comments were relating to whether huge labour tactical voting for nzf to get it to 4.3%

Key had his first flip flop. He agreed to getting a dog after boos from the Nat crowd when he said he would not follow Obamas lead. Now he has just suggested he might try a photo of Obama's dog and see if that satisfies the kids

New Zealand First Party 1,348,MARK, Ron NZF 4,944
Three and a half thousand votes margin. Over 10% of the electorate votes and over 25% of the Labour votes in the electorate.
Look at that as an indicator across the rest of the country

The fact that JK's people think he needs a ring of bodyguards at his own victory party sends a shiver up my spine.
Perhaps they feared further infiltration :)

Just listening to a very restrained Gerry Brownlee. He had nice words to say about Peters concession. I very much doubt Key is going to allow any triumphalism along the lines of Cullens "we won you lost eat that"

Bridges has a 10,000 majority in Tauranga and Mark came third in Rimutaka. That means there must have been huge Labour tactical voting to get Winston First up to 4.3%

John key waiting at home for the concession call from Helen to concede. Anybody betting she does not have the grace to concede?

Steve - I wanted you to work that one out for yourself about Roger. Almost the most beautiful news of the evening. It has suited Clark to picture him as some kind of ogre but the reality is that he cares deeply about raising all boats, not simply redistributing. You will see him being re established in public mind over the next few years.

wow O'connor, Tizard, Burton all gone & off bottom of list. Boscowan makes it on act list

evening all. I can report that overseas voting was bril. Simply download print, get witness (a person), sign & fax. Piece of cake.
Tactical voting all the way.
