How was the Dunedin Sound Exhibition?
I'd call it more of an exhibit than exhibition. Artefacts from the time with some accompanying social history, in a similar way to Dunedin in World War One or other exhibits. So it is presented as a natural part of the collection rather than a one off special event. I suspect this element got media attention more for the bringing the history of the collection into people's immediate past, rather than scope or depth.
Also, being behind traction engines is a cool reason for a slower than expected car trip.
