As much as any other sexual practice? So, quite a bit?
I've talked a bit here about why it's so important for health professionals to have some basic understanding of BDSM. And most of you will have seen this, yet I'm still a bit chary about linking directly to it: Why it's good for non-BDSM people to have awareness.

She's a psychiatrist. So when she talks about locking someone up in a psychiatric institution? It's not quite so funny. And BDSM is still in the DSM.

The column in question. Good for lulz.
She did an okay job, in her Close Up and RNZ interviews, of pretending to be just reasonable and concerned, but it took almost no digging at all to uncover some pretty amazing sexism. And remember, ladies, motherhood is inevitable.

But yeah, women telling women what men like sexually. The only universal tip I think of right now is "warm your hands up first".

Emma is the one with both of those, right?
I just snorted so bad. I live in my sheepskin booties these days. Also, as Russell knows full well, there are no circumstances under which I will do a Guest Vagina spot. Being "singled out" (along with all the other women) knowing my name wouldn't be coming up if I weren't female is something I find, well, excrutiatingly patronising.
Also, oddly, I seem to have ended up with expertise in an area overwhelmingly dominated by female voices: sex. Where are all the straight cis male sex bloggers, hm?

I spent weeks on codeine post-surgery, mostly to come down off the morphine. Which I had very much needed for the pain, I'm just slightly disappointed opiate addiction wasn't more fun.
