What about the disenfranchised incorporeal?
As the processing power increases and actor / avatars and other CGI automatons are given more autonomy to act as they will, what happens if they then get a chip on their shoulders and demand equal rights? The pixel legions tread paths we can not follow...

Canterbury tales wag the British Bulldog...
The planet having run a shake-test on that "most English of colonial cities", Christchurch, will find the "Mother Country" no easy pickings...
...as a training exercise on September 10 has
readied them for the aftermath of a
magnitude 8 earthquake...Officers from Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Merseyside took part in the bizarre exercise this week to plan for a tremor measuring 8 on the Richter scale. Mock disaster scenes included burning cars and collapsed buildings and more than 600 actors and amputees were employed to pose as injured victims.
The biggest quake ever to hit the UK – at Dogger Bank in 1931 – measured just 6.1 and caused only one fatality, a woman in Hull who had a heart attack.
Be Prepared - Baden Powell will rest easy in his grave... just so long as none of those offshore oil rigs need to be BP repaired.

trollery; madly, deeply...
"Performers only – NO MEDIA"
What a squandered opportunity, surely there should have been seats for Gnome Media...
NZ has such an entrenched love affair with all things Lord of the Rings - I even spotted a company in Chch selling Elf lubricants!!

this Travers' tea needs a spoonful of sugar...
FFS having a really good nanny in government would suit me just fine.
Mary Poppins seems to be poppin' up
in all these fiscal debates lately
- some subtle nanny-technology
at work perchance, and the Pleiades
are above the horizon...Maybe we could look at a Karmically
based Good Service Tax system
balanced with the Gross National
Happiness index... -
paying the ferryman...
if the GST is a punt wouldn't that
make it a kind of pole tax?
quiche 22...?
perhaps a masculine salad
in lieu of a mesclun salad?
Moche ado about legumes...Is a peanut a fresh, unprocessed fruit or vegetable?
Well, it's not animal or mineral...
it grows on a tree.Charlie Brown we have a problem...
- er, I think dem peanuts grow underground
from plants about 50cm high...
speaking of pods...
Apple wants to own the word pod
speaking of segues...
the new owner of the Segway company
has died driving one off a cliff... -
essential books...
while I think every home should have a good dictionary and a thesaurus - it might be time to remove the thesaurus from TV One newsrooms
- I inadvertently caught a very brief piece of the Breakfast show this morning in time to hear some young reporter, in Chch, talking about the Police arriving somewhere to "disseminate" a rowdy crowd... sure it can mean disperse, but.... -
dark mutter - isn't that the undertone
that holds the universe together?
In space no one can hear you whinge, string theory does allow for carp-all tunnels though... -
he cracked a rye simile...
What makes me cry is when people spell "whisky" with an e.
that's right mixing e with alcohol is bad...
so now I undestand chch's problem :
we have souped up boy racers and congestion
and we have mixed up kids (& older) coingesting -
hearing voices... have your say!
Australia does it better, apparently...
and they have compulsory voting...
I'm surprised it hasn't been introduced here, especially when you consider the potential revenue stream from fining everyone who doesn't vote... -
no great shakes...
That isn't all that curious. The kids of Auckland (and Wellington) were obviously better able to regulate their drug use, take a safe dose, and not trouble A&E than those in Christchurch.
what are you saying precisely?
which social factors particularly?perhaps delirium tremens
lead to deleterious tremors...
