I wouldn't have thought they had a whelk's chance in a supernova. Look at what happened when Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie attempted to bring classic girl characters sexuality to the fore in The Lost Girls.
And whatever you think them, Shrek 2 on the box Sunday had a Pinocchio character. And they're going to tell Italy they're National Treasure can't portry an Italian folktale without being beholden to The Mouse?
It's a foray into occupy territory trying to see how far they can liberate. And we know how well hearts and minds are won with that.

Hi Don,
I've worked in a polling station on election day and the counts for the station's electorate are relatively simple to get right, it's the voting outside of the electorate (that I would say is an tiny portion of the vote - unless, for example, you've have a large number of troops stationed in another country) so the inital counts are fairly good.

Lee, I'm afraid to say that the day personality politcs ends will be the day it stops appealing to the voters (however much they claim otherwise) and that's not likely to be soon. The end of K Street? What... the "checks and balances" of the system aren't those in the bank account..?

In a number of states significant numbers of voters cast their ballots before Election Day. They either cast an absentee ballot or they vote at precincts set-up for voters in the weeks leading up to the election. These absentee/early voters cannot be included in the Election Day. Instead, they are interviewed by telephone shortly before the election. They are asked the same questions as voters interviewed in the exit polls. In some states, absentee voters will be sampled by telephone their results will be combined with those of Election Day voters.tim

But I'm really rather glad we don't have them for NZ elections as we're small enough to get a first actual count into circulation comparitively early.
