"NZ Comedy Guild's Most Offensive Gag award in 2005, and the identical award at the Wellington Comedy Awards in 2006."
Yes, but was it the identical gag? And if so, was it walking the length of SH1 for charity (or absolution) or sonething..?

Paul who? And can someone tell me what that boxy glass fronted them in my living room is? It looks like an old styly CRT VDU but no matter how many time I restart it I can't see a mouse pointer...
Bob's maturing quickly - clearly showing sensitivity to his father's tastes...

Um, please correct if I'm wrong, but didn't the last great bureaucrat cull result in a greater reliance on external consultants, typically more expensive, so that the latter became the new opposition insult. Of course some departments' staffing levels need to be looked at - for need to grow as well as decrease - but this is surely a matter of course for any organistation.

Hey Russell, How's the TVNZ7/Hard News/Public Address relationship to be handled - in a way you're both public broadcasters...
Could you f'ristance sign off with "By the way, you might of noticed a Murray McCully press release regarding this show - I blogged about it on Public Address - a search for 'sloppy politicking' or 'malicious falsehood' if you'd like a look at it...

In terms that this is a story of pharmaceuticals encouraging over-prescription of long term income products, isn't this the same old someold?

Yeah. Went to the zoo with me nephew (3) last year and we had a great time. I'd not gone for years (too many mad polar bear in concrete bunker memories) but had caught The Zoo teevee thingy a few time. But I was really glad we both had a great time. And I discovered my nephew *really* like turtles. Who Knew? (Certainly not his Da.)

Thanks Damian,
I can barely watch most interviews for the reasons you mention and have mostly stopped altogether. What prine your humantity; at the cost of others?

Did you have any contact with Barry Barclay? If so, any impressions of him would be appreciated at this time.

I remeber a flatmate saying of the tsumi footage "That Doesn't look to bad," and me pointing out what we were seeing was the footage that survived, not the worst of it, some of which I saw later through some Sri Lankan connections. Now I know better and could add your point and the need to fit the broadcast format - obviously my mind was on other things at the time.
I'm so very glad Super Tuesday id over. Many US journos were using Tsumi Tuesday as shorthand for its importance this year and it seemed as appropriate as Two Towers Tuesday would be in NY...
Go good guy!

In the earlier primaries, except in the closest of races, I've notived that the candidate leading between 10-20% of the votes counted is called the winner - and this has been correct.
The close race in NH was called at 70%, but Clinton had the slight lead from 10% counted.

Regrettably, McCain's hardly a lock with Romney (believe me, I'm no fan) surging in California. The current US narrative goes that the Democratic race may still be undecided after Super Tuesday and the Republican race settled. But it's looking more and more likely the Rupublicians won't have anyone head and shoulders above anyone else either, and certainly the conference will only confirm McCain if he's a very clear winner (see Craig's comment).
Definately the most fascinating US race in yonks.

Duller than dishwater tho' it be, here's the US SOTU tag cloud.
