My first reaction was to suggest Floriditas - apparently I'm not the only one who loves this restaurant!

I can't remember: are we still doing this in funny voices?
I surely hope so! I'm wondering if Karl can muster up a Majel Barrett for me? (Perhaps a Nurse Chapel?)
I also reckon with a purple frock coat and a monocle that you're a shoe-in for the next Dr Who (isn't it about time he was a chick? At least for more than a one-off i.e., Dr Donna).
So glad to see your words again Emma :-)

I finally bit the bullet and stopped my Listener sub a few months ago and.... have not missed it one bit. I knew the time had come when so many of the good columnists had gone that I was looking forward to Joanne Black.
Best NZ mag out there these days? NZ Gardener. By far!

It's not my Perfect Coat. That's a tailored Victorian-style purple frock coat. I didn't buy that because it doesn't exist.
Me too me too! Would trample hoards for such a coat! If we can imagine it, it surely must exist somewhere in this universe?

Lovely to have you back David - been wondering what's up - but I guess you and Alan have been too busy carousing to worry about your fans.

the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection
My intermediate school arranged a trip to Wellington for the arty kids - it was just incredible. And I've been a Dali fan ever since. It was kind of surreal to see "One second..." again, 25 years later, in an exhibition in Hartford, CT.

LMAO and wiping away the tears! (and for once I'm in on an in-joke!)

Another peril of working at home, when the phone (and internet) goes down, you have to be your own IT department.
Got that base covered too (thank you Linton!), and if we lose external connectivity we can always go down the road to borrow some bandwidth from a mate on cable (thank you David!).
Back on the sofa now in clean PJs after a spot of gardening... (no kids or dogs in sight Neil!). And look! It's just gone wine-o'clock...
