So Nuk is still in with a chance?

Good to see working at heights safety systems in place there. Pop out to a few residential demos and you will see guys (temps I'm sure) held aloft in the bucket of a digger leaning over the edge to rip a house down by hand & all on a back section, on a hill, on the cnr of Bellview Tce & Mt Pleasant Rd.

Has anyone seen a poster of Paul Lonsdale on anything but an empty section?
Symbolism much? -
I left my office and joined the "Rebuild" a year ago yesterday. Some things never change, like fluro is the cloak of invisibility in Merivale/Fendalton,. Conversely somewhat hero status in the South & East.
The greatest change to my life (beyond my income - which has increased) has been the increasing reach of Johnny Law, specifically the Liquor Licencing Laws.
On the odd occasion a night shift finishes early (midnight), I can no-longer live my life as I used to by popping into the Riccarton Night & Day for a 6 pack or pop into The Crack. By the time my POETS day starts it has gone 1am, the new witching hour when all wickedness starts and I'm not allowed to play unless I go to the great dens of inadequacy - the Casino or the Brothel (Calendar Girls), both too far away if you live in the new centre of the city - Riccarton and not my cuppa tea. -
Sorry to hear of your loss.

Thank God the Bob & Tony Show is over.
The only curtain call will be for the forensic accountants. -

Garry is an old family friend and one of his children is a dear friend of mine, also I love the Bodgie Beer specially brewed for Smash Palace (their family business) by Harringtons Brewery (another Christchurch family business).

These are the relationships that are formed and all done openly. I don't see anything wrong here in Hendo supporting an employee in his Council aspirations. Johnny didn't stand while his Dad was in Council, he didn't get in and hasn't stood again. That's Democracy at work.
McTurk & Marriott are not to my liking, but they were both hired by the Council to do what they have done (not prejudging any CCC announcements here) and latterly there have been glaring failures in Consents etc. Simply McTurk had bigger things to do & Marriott has been promoted beyond his ability (OK maybe I am).

The closest proxy to a smile I've ever seen by Bishop Matthews, of course the unmistakeable finger says a lot more.

That would be interesting. I'm assuming the allowing of parts of South Shore etc to go Green is a hospital pass by Brownlee as infrastructure won't necessarily be repaired.
