It was a great game; more exciting than the AB test which followed, We recorded the final 10 minutes, in order to set out for Cambridge to see Show Me Shorts, and returned to watch the play in extra time.
Great too that Waikato have been promoted back to the Premiership, after a great run, Exciting young players are to be seen. -
Ratings, schmatings! As a long disbeliever in the efficacy of TV ratings (I once worked in audience research), we need to be reminded that the Peoplemeter families do not report on what they are watching, but merely record their ‘presence in a room where a television set is on’ (Nielsen’s caveat). Which may or may not be the same thing.

I would like some spokesperson for the Police to explain why they pursued this line of inquiry.

I have been able to watch the first three eps. Pretty good really, with Steve being surprisingly philosophical. There is some fun to be had if you watch it with subtitles, when they mangle some local lingo.

I will do, once I get an opportunity (Netflix seems to have swallowed our TV). It sounds interesting and could be considered as a riposte to the local screen industry, given its long neglect of rugby as a source of interesting stories.
I will be interested in how Steve Hansen performs; he is not the most telegenic or articulate of blokes 🙄 -
Was rung up Morning Report last week, to give an opinion on this. Will have to watch it now. My hope is that it would give more exposure to rugby in North America, given the growth in professional rugby in the US.

Congratulations to AudioCulture. I remember some of those early discussions. Coincidentally, I have just received a request to re-work my AC piece on the Pretty Things for a book collection..

I think the claim that there is some kind of stand-off between RNZ and Claire Curran (most recently promulgated by The Spinoff) is without any foundation. Sitting beside each other at the recent Better Public Media panel, they seemed in full agreement. A major barrier to cooperation (Richard Griffin) has now gone.

wow, didn’t know that about John Harris. He is such a gentleman.
