  • Speaker: Telling Our Own Tales,

Anyway, I didn't do it above, but I'm going to shamelessly self-promote the Capture thread Two Tales of a City, authored by Lilith and Gudrun, both Christchurch locals (at the time :-) ) , which ran from 10 May 2012, with the last comment around May this year.

It is a document of the trials, tribulations, hope and desperation experienced over the years since the quake, and the thing on Capture I am proudest of.

It also managed 1688 comments without descending into pissy little rants from entitled fuckknuckles who clearly came here for a fight.

Thanks for limiting the damage RB.

Post updated with the help of Rikki Morris. Jesse Sheehan's bass player is his daughter, Gala Morris.

    Cheers Rikki.

Perfect day. The spring moon is blue.

And with the dark matter filter.

Few more of Anthonie Tonnan and co.

There were so many real cameras

Yeah, there was definitely a bit of lens envy going on, but my little G16 seems to do the job I want. Also means I can sling it and enjoy the music without it getting in the way.

  • Speaker: Telling Our Own Tales,

The many posts on PA have certainty helped feel a greater sense of empathy and compassion for those living through all this.

Visiting though made it all the more real.

Seeing it through the eyes of Emma, Ian, Lilith, Isabel, and all the others who have welcomed us visitors from Aucks Bay [sic], entertained us, and patiently shown us the devastation they've had to live with everyday, while we enjoy a beer, and then fly away to the comfort of our unshaken Northern bungalows.

    Arohanui. We won't forget.

Great to meet you last night Angus, and pleasing to see the little Art Ache show was well attended. Also managed to meet Amy, so will look at doing one myself at some stage.

Excited to find out about The Print Room too.

Took a couple of night shots while walking up Richmond Rd on the way to the show. I found it quite hard to capture the darkness, which you seem to do very well.

Thanks. But of course, what am I talking about? It's a tulip.

Tulip popping. Oranges and reds in one.

Dotterel’s colouring is entirely Spring related

Perfect spring plumage. Nice shot Bruce.

And Jos, your hellebores are heavenly. :-)

Few more photos from Broods last night. They have progressed a lot from the first show we saw at Kings Arms late last year, and the crowd was sure with them. Tour schedule taking its toll on Georgia’s voice though, which seems to be a thing. She managed well in spite of it though.
