Did you know a part of the scotch thistle is both edible and nourishing?
I've always wondered how to extract the Scotch ;-)

I have to share this piece of awesome. And if we support these folk they can maybe buy more instruments. :-)

Thanks, lemming. I never thought it was a conspiracy, I’m just puzzled that Geonet hasn’t (yet) gathered together on their website all the stuff they’ve been showing around. I’m sure they’ve got lots to do, but if it’s ready enough to show the politicians and media, surely it'd be the work of a moment to put it on their own website.

OK, found it. Stuff has a shorter clip. Graph in question at 10:12.

See if TV3 or CCC still has the live feed on its website. (I think I know the graph you liked.)
Unfortunately I'm not prepared to watch the whole hour to find it. ;-)

Thanks Hebe! I have tracked the power-point download link to here. And there is a good CCC summary pdf here.
That pdf contains this link for further info on Geonet but it looks like the public isn’t allowed to see it!
None of these has the graph I was looking for, which shows numbers of aftershocks since 4 Sept 2010 to present vs. number expected. I know it was shown towards the end of the briefing. Still a mystery to me why all this stuff isn't up on the Geonet site. Isn't that the logical place?

I'd love it if Geonet would put up the text (or a summary) of the briefing they gave the other day. And particularly that graph of expected numbers of aftershocks vs. actual numbers. I found that graph oddly comforting: seems we're only now approaching the expected numbers.

Her third snow, the first of 2012, and she finally got to go outside and check it out.
Awww. That's awesome!

I actually looked it up on YouTube and was aghast at how bad it was. Much worse than I remembered! Brent, OTOH...
