It was superlative rugby. Loved the crying man the camera kept returning to.
The Chiefs need to get Michael Leitch back, He ought to be considered for the ABs too. One hell of a good player.

Excellent Media Take this year, with Russell and Toi. My students were all abuzz about being part of the audience last week.

I bought Anthonie Tonnon's release in the way I prefer (paid online, received a CD through the mail) but I got a sense that not many were doing the same. But it does mean that I can press the CD on friends and colleagues, urging them 'to take a listen to this'. Much more satisfying than sending them a link.
I have hopes that more NZ music will be heard on National Radio, with Jessie Mulligan in charge of afternoons. There was quite a bit today (maybe you had a hand in this, Russell?)

Are bogans really that homogenous and undifferentiated as a social group? What about neo-bogans, quasi-bogans, wannbe-bogans, faux bogans, bogus bogans, used-to-be-a-bogan?

Polity: House-buying patterns in Auckland, in reply to
Yes, the parasitic real estate sector, I am always rather perplexed how they are left out of the equation, or when commentary is sought by the media, it is usually someone from the Real Estate Institute who pops up. They are such altruistic folk, only interested in getting the best deal for us. Probably donate all their inflated commissions to charity, too.

Got back from Brisbane in time to catch most of the final, which was a damn fine game of rugby, I think I was pleased that the Highlanders won as the Hurricanes were getting a little too cocky, Sort of affirmation too that my team (Chiefs) were up against tough opposition in their encounters with the Highlanders.
