more than any other the media is playing a much bigger role in “shaping” perceptions.
I have just been reading interviews with various people on The Nation and from Rachel Smalley, Gower and Simon Shepherd. Can I say the Garneresque grotesque style of interviewer spitting out suggestive questions followed with constant interruption of attempts to answer and generally no impression of interest in said answer but just trying to trip the interviewee up, seems about as ugly as a tabloid gossip columnist that the Sun or Daily Mirror produce. How can anyone be informed by this?

The placing of the actual car wreck in an art gallery would be disturbing, but by replicating the object like this, is more palatable.
Conjecture. For you may be so, but for someone like me who has written a car off, may be not so. I see the accident I had and seeing as I can be a tough lil' britches I'd walk past, but as you've pointed out, not everyone can for various reasons. Just as theDamien Hirst sliced up Cow and calf, "Mother and Child Divided" artwork actually affects me more than the crash I had. Not that I have an opinion as to it's creation though which once again allows me understanding of someone's wish to own a book.Albeit one that some find offensive. And part of history that was offensive to many.

Yes. Owned by the same people as the excellent Khyber Spice a few doors along, I think.
The story goes ,the Wife opened the restaurant after the shop became available next door and the Husband is the lovely tall man with the smile still spotted occasionally in the shop. I've forgotten his name. I think the trading name is Shubh but it still gets called Khyber Spice which there actually is one in Royal Oak.
I get a lot of our groceries there as everything is reasonably priced including olives ,feta and cashews. Now I want curry for dinner...... -

I’d pretty much feel the same way about an autographed book by Stalin, for the record. Or Pol Pot, etc, etc.
That should be fine to have an opinion huh?
