Look, RossMcA is really the point of this post. Not if some of us do or don’t agree with The SA, although thanks for the opportunity to pick flaws as it might be noticed by someone who takes criticism well.
The point is, why change? What benefit to exclude a successful group with a great rep and a tonne of knowledge particular to gambling all because “a superior offer” came from another group with success in a similar field. Do we know exactly what the superior offer actually entails? Size obviously is taken into account but I suspect it’s( like Parata hinted with schools) bean counting. I also suspect Tau Henare has told us exactly how all National mostly think and if given a choice would support that who don’t criticize the Government.Trouble is he probably is one of the few to gamble that tweet.
As an accountant is the Minister of Health and thus the head of the Ministry, I think it’s primarily about accounting and squeezing savings. It’s a numbers game to them, not a considerate one. It aligns with bringing the books into surplus for 2015. Penny pinching.Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Or PGF to pay SA and yes how satisfying to clip the wings of PGF. I wonder what percentage of support for the SA are National Voters?
Who out of National can anyone see as really caring about Gamblers? Who out of National can anyone see really caring about money? -

– not just food at school.
It's not just about food in your mouth. It's education in many forms, health a huge one. Anything that can help quell our Enormous Diabetes problem in NZ is great for the tummy as well as the health budget. Multiculturalism is another benefit when you get people joining together for a meal.

It seems, words out, use this Govt to endorse your product

oh, I don’t have a problem with religious groups per se but I know many who have used the rehab for drug and alcohol addiction and have often heard their views and religion was not what they needed at that time but had no other choice unless they wanted to leave. I think that’s unnecessary pressure.
Also your, “we need to be careful’ I said my bit and I think my point made is by all means help, but without provisos please. -

Yes which is why I said the religious connotations in rehab, but I should've said their religious..... in that it's primary use for a rehab should not require one buying into the religion. Shouldn't it be about the rehab? Also yes my move into Sanatarium was obviously only in my head :)
My bad. -
The more I think about this the more pissed off I am . Screw you if you try to do good and critique. It's ok if you don't care, but you support the Govt. Fucking Crony capitalism . It's disgusting. }:(

if an organisation brands whole classes of people as "more sinful" or whatever, then they should not receive public money.
They have been called on that here and I havent time to find the links but yes, also the religious connotations in the rehab bother me too. Sadly choice is minimal in that if you don't use them to get clean, you must be RICHIE RICH.
Sanitarium, get a heap of support with weetbix alone
This bit...Neither the Australia nor the New Zealand Sanitarium companies pay company tax on their profits, due to their ownership by a religious organisation.[10][11] On their official website Sanitarium defend their tax exemption with several points, stating they operate exclusively for charitable purposes, and that income tax exemptions are available to all companies and individuals in New Zealand who limit themselves to charitable purposes.[12]
However the exemption has been criticised[13][14] and is considered unfair by their competitors.
It's all disgusting, that once again, the innocent are marginalised for the sake of greed

Hard News: What Hekia Parata actually said, in reply to
It only reinforces my personal experiences of private schools being training grounds for tomorrow’s country club memberships.
I've always felt ,it's a whoyouknow situation here but also everywhere else I go and I concur, it was more beneficial to have grown up in Remuera than many other suburbs even tho I attended Public School. To be in the Grammar Zone surrounded by many private Schools is considered elite when it comes to real estate too so it's a money go 'round fer sure. Bankrupts/ failed investment companies still play golf although they could have failed investors to the tune of millions. Yep, another bugbear of mine. It grates me that Hotchin cleaned out many people but his Paratai portfolio sold to Collin's Oravida mate... but that's the other thread over there ----->>

And when kids do get funding for extra help it only lasts until the end of the school year and then has to be re-applied for in a process that often takes the whole first term.
Surely that could just be your GP that signs an ongoing treatment required therefore extra help should continue. Thus making the cost around $20 and not prohibitive as Hebe suggests. All these assessments should be on the Public Health system. It's a health issue. And as for quality of life.... ACC.

Meanwhile at a much smaller private school I know of they have more reader/writers for assessments than we do even though we’d have several times the need!!!
I noticed today, The Greens are asking Questions with regard to a funding request of 2.5 mil for one of the wealthiest early childhood learning centres, Kiddicorp (?). It seems Parana is starting preferential funding before School, she's beginning at Kindy level. I hope it gets teased out further by them. It's a similar slippery road.
