No, it's great that these proteinager signalling molecules are vibrating and costimulating benignly and good to cytokines (er - sight those music movies) especially as my immunity to the '80s is now at its strongest ;- )
Plus it gives hope that our own cells will retain these memories as we can't guarantee the great Entertainment Corporations will be able to!
Personally I don't think tape and vinyl are forever either - both are susceptible to heat, and tapes can be erased by powerful electromagnetic fields...So remember - we are the songs that shape us!

Personally I don't think tape and vinyl are forever either - both are susceptible to heat, and tapes can be erased by powerful electromagnetic fields...I am reminded of the BBC Domesday Project, where the Domesday census books were digitalised - on Acorn BBC Micros. It turned out the machines didn't age very well, and there weren't many of them left to access the data. The solution? Emulation and reverse engineering.
