Well, speaking for myself I think it is, but I haven't canvassed other people on this issue. Anyone?

Yes, that was by blue milk. It's in the list of her popular posts on the righthand side and it's called "Asking is sexy".
You know, I was drunk, resting in a bed at a flat party one time back in Uni. The guy snoozing next to me, who was a complete stranger, started to push up my dress. I was compos mentis enough to push his hand away. And that's where it ended. Good on that guy for not being a rapist! See, how hard is that?

Actually, I found the White-Knighting analysis really interesting, thanks!
And thanks Emma, for all your tireless work on this.

Hey, did anyone notice that Ogas is already cited in a footnote to Wikipedia's Fan Fiction entry?

We have the Panasonic DVR and considering how much we spent on it it's pretty hopeless. The UI is ugly (why oh why?) and slow to respond. The Guide has great gaps in it most of the time. Upsides are that recording is really easy and you can burn on to a DVD (not that I've tried that yet). I am one of the people that thought you needed Telecom broadband for the TiVo so ended up getting this instead.

I will admit to subscribing to the SST (for the timebeing). I generally like the Focus and the Culture insert but was quite disappointed last weekend to read two references that I found sexist and youth-hating. Some comment about a third year university student being bored to her low-riders and another one with a 14 year old scrawling pictures of boys she likes. Neither was necessary, or clever or funny. Wot, don't they think women or parents or teenagers read their newspaper?

Our thoughts are with you all from up here in Auckland and wishing we could do more to help. We have some family in Christchurch who we haven't heard from so hopefully no news is good news.
