Yes, we started getting the "New Channel" message on our device a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised to see it will be a genuine station rather than the mystery ghost channels we keep having to tune!

I don't get it about this being an aspect of operating as "just a landlord". Property management companies (covering a large part of the rental market) at least have offices you can go to!

I went to Everybody's a couple of weekends ago and I agree the decor is superb. We had excellent service so I'm not sure that it being early days completely explains what happened with your meal. (I had lunch at Depot last week, which has been open for ages, and the kitchen was all over the place, even the waiters were puzzled). I also had the confit duck, which I found too salty. Since I usually adore confit duck I was a bit bummed about that.
Can't comment on New Order as I didn't go, but I did see the Pixies at Vector and thought they were awesome. When I wasn't worrying about how my partner was getting on with the tiny new baby...

I don't see how dying in her bath was her way of giving permission. I've been staying right away from coverage of all this.

Okay, so I went to le CD shop and blew my gift voucher. On a bunch of stuff that wasn't LDR. LDR was playing while I was there (for a long time) and it must've been the less interesting part of album. Not worth buying the lot so I will just go and download the most interesting songs individually. I did get Amy Winehouse, Lucinda Williams, Forence and the Machine and An Emerald City.
I think I've got whipsmart somewhere on cassette, I really liked it when I was a teen. And Liz Phair's take was spot on.

I am so annoyed I'm stuck at the office with no audio on my computer :(. I have a decent value Marbecks voucher to spend I do so want to make it worthwhile. Keep the recommendations coming!
As for remixes of such things, the Short Club remix of Florence and the Machine's Cosmic Love is beautiful.
