mate, feeling your pain.

also, just to toss a track into the mix, found this yesterday – it’s a live (and better) take on a track from an album of African bands recorded by Damon Albarn, Brian Eno and Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. this was Zinner’s project…he’s the palangi standing at the back.
there’s a co-joined doco coming out an’ all

can I ask why you're selling them? I don't play my Fall in a Hole much (OK, never) but I kinda like knowing it's there.

yeah, but the poms seem to have developed an odd system where you form an orderly queue to get to a counter where you then ask for what ever you're after (not even knowing whether or not they've got it in the first place) which is possibly more seemly than the rush that occurs at Southbound, but it's far more long winded.
sadly I've got a funeral to go to, but after a quick morning hit and run I'm hoping to make Lazza at Real Groovy, that man's voice can still strip paint off walls.
and don't nobody get between me and the Lord Sitar reissue, I'm sanding my elbows and knees as I type. also finding myself oddly tempted by the Sound, Banshees and such, bands I haven't really listened to in decades. hmmm. -

tbh, and I suspect I'm going to regret this, I'm still trying to figure this one out ''Imagining the classical mind is so hard precisely because it was a pre-Christian one.''
were those pre-christians a bit savagey and dim? if only they'd written some books or something. and if only we knew of just one culture, somewhere, that has never been christian for a bit of compare and contrast. but I guess we'll never know. pity really.

hell yeah, so exceptional and so obvious that not one scrap of contemporary evidence for him exists despite thousands of people spending nigh on 1000 years desperately digging through everything and anything for any hint, intimation, or autographed scripture. comparisons to Alex are plain silly.
For mine, jesus remains a composite figure. -

same argument has been used for Ahkenaten's attempt to make Egypt monotheistic. I wouldn't disagree with what you say, but jesus was already a construct by that point. anyway, gorra put kids to bed.
