Some people seemed to make a big deal of it with certain members of the exclusive brethren church.
surely donation scandals and publically stating your views are different things?
-
what is it with people freaking out about non de plumes? does not having a target mean that that content of someone's argument is weaker?
let me answer that for you.
no.

You have to question who is possibly giving them legal advice
conspiracy-che says banks has shares in crow's business.

real information, reports of government depts, state owned companies, etc. Even the bloody Budget bilaterals are posted on the Treasury's web site within a few weeks of the Budget. It’s all there if you want to find it.
That means the other skills will become more important.
indeed, the people who know how to identify the weak signals in all this infobesity will be the ones helping us all to be better informed.
unfortunately those people will not be our infotainment/'opinion"-focused msm.
i'll head over the road, collar keith and plant him in front of a decent terminal. he's doubtless sick of all the scuttlebutt over there already.

Do other readers have lines from Russell, or anyone at Public Address that disturb them? Send your answers on the back of an envelope to the usual address
RB... damian's talking about that coup again. you might want to check all your logins.

equally honouring the masculine and feminine aspects of humanity. It seemed so much more natural, positive and healthy
100% agree. masculinity and feminity tend to get ascribed to gender-based roles. the essence of what it means to be masculine or feminine gets lost in the doofing, and the jobs we're expected to adopt because of our genitalia.
am working up a blog on it, just been a bit busy of late.

who was the geezer from family first (or something) who was crapping on about 'protecting children' from this palaver?
yup. "protecting children"... from boobs. might have to get some new amendments to the legislation regarding safety equipment for breastfeeding babies.
or, was he talking about the "erotica" exhibition that children can't actually get into?
what a patronising asshole.

@simon
We were told things and that was it, by experts. Clifton was a big part of that and it must be terrifying for the likes of her and Ralston to see that slip away so much as it has.
yeah... i'm inclined to think we still listen to experts. the diff is that now we get to choose them.
plenty of people seem to think that cameron slater is a reliable arbiter of the truth (for example). i can't be sure whether to describe them as deluded or denuded though.

the signs are from the US that getting paid: (a) isn't the determinant of whether or not you're a blogger, and (b) doesn't mean you get to eat.
i read that. lots of bloggers move to 'professional' only to have their creativity dry up, their motivation sapped by word limits/demands, and their health decline due to poor working environments.
but i thought it was an issue of gold-rush exploitation as opposed to the medium.

Clifton's game-focused style of commentary, since she deals more in political gossip than empirical facts.
her description of the public service as 'an ocean of b-listers' raised a few hackles for its brazen partisan-ness.
