  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

Just like the men's toilets then.

Heh, yup. Not places that encourage lingering. As for spa pools in the general lounge area, just think about it. Are you going to get into a spa pool with a bunch of strangers, half of whom are unattractive old punters who like to pay for sex, the other half girls/guys who already have been paid for it, several times that night? In water that's been stewing this particular stew for quite possibly days on end? Even just stripping down to your undies in front of all the other punters is going to be enough to put off most people.

Spa pools in rooms, sure, since they will really be "Spa baths" from which you could conceivably emerge cleaner than when you went in.

  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

Is there a mid-point in intimate-touching-allowed strip shows?

Yes, it's about halfway down the stairs with all your teeth missing.

  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

I agree. A lot of the time, you can't even give it away.

You need a decent pimp, son. Pammy could square your mangina away 5 times a night for $240 an hour. Apparently.

  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

They are at The White House, I believe, and Ren was perfectly happy in her outcall stripping days to escalate to sex for money.

I'll have to check that out. The way I heard it was that they were two separate businesses run next door to each other, but I could be completely wrong. Certainly their website's virtual tour makes it appear to be a regular strip club. Yes, there are rooms for 'private dances', but that will be for lap-dances, not sex. Clue: No showers or beds in the rooms. The guy at the door says it pretty clearly "No touching the pussy". The other site "Monica's" looks like a regular brothel with discreet entry, etc. And never the twain shall meet.

Will be interesting to see if Pam can set up something like that place, which sits on the top of the already existing reasonably large straight-for-men sex industry in Auckland. The strip shows could do OK but I wouldn't hold out much hope for the brothel side of things - if there was money to be made it already would be being made.

  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

What Pam wants and what she gets will be interesting to compare. By the sounds of it she's aiming to have flash workers, and they don't come cheap, nor do six-star premises. So she either anticipates a lot of custom, or to charge like a wounded bull. People who strip for crowds and people who fuck for money are not the same people, on the whole.

  • Up Front: Eat Up Your Brothelly,

I'm seriously curious whether there would be any resemblance at all between Pammy's and regular hetero brothel. Do the guys have to hang around in undies? Would they have a line up, or mingle with the guests trying to press the sale?

I expect most women have virtually no idea what I'm talking about and imagine that a brothel resembles a strip club, somewhere you can have a big party and a laugh, rather than a seedy little room with some people sitting around who are available to fuck, and really expect to do nothing more than that, and a 'madam' who is there to make you hurry the fuck up and pay or piss off, and a bunch of embarrassed looking punters desperately trying to work up courage, and on no account looking at or talking to each other.

Hide's then-executive secretary, the most formidable personal assistant I've ever met, made a point of cautioning me within my first week that she knew that I'd been involved with socialists at university. His self-appointed "security advisor" later informed me, in all seriousness, that he had "checked me out" and that, other than a few minor issues, I was OK to be around the MP.

Man, that's so cult. The first rule of ACT club is....
