I do think there's something in John Key's comment that the elevation of Goff is hardly a sign of renewal. I also think there's something in the idea that Key really doesn't want to face an Opposition leader as smart and experienced as Goff ...
He earned it, which is something Key has shown both National and his previous employment don't understand and also I agree, Goff is a fast thinker with a good memory so not great for the Camp Key.

Oh Graeme you had to remind me about that woman whose name I can't mention. Reminds me of a nodding dog that sits atop the back seat of a car. Insulting I know (for dogs) but it's stuck in my head now.

Still 10'000 odd does suggest protest or beer as I heard from some going that way,( mind you it was at the pub and they do like beer)
