I asked my dad one day if he wanted to see Full Metal Jacket. He said something I had never noticed before, I never watch war especially anything to do with Vietnam. It certainly means many things to many people but like my man who's just no good at funerals or (now) hospitals, I think it is personal so a difficult situation to expect one to show ,although what Roger highlighted earlier really just reminds me of the way Key deals with a lot of things.

@ Eleanor
But when her supporters are queried as to any excellent policy that Annette King has implemented,
Land Transport Amendment Act, Electoral Finance Act, She wasn't popular with either of those but was able to weather the storm by opposition and the media. She also proved with the EFA that a majority of the House was in support which shows ability to engage other parties. I think that gives her skills. I vaguely remember her even working together with Chris Finlayson on a Law bill but can't remember off hand but point being, if she managed that, she probably is capable.

I l think Key (and lets face it, thats all we got there) is like the kid in the sand pit who always gets all the toys. If ( by chance) some other kid gets one of the toys, well he still has the most and the other kids will still be nice cos hes got the whole sandpit as well and they can gang up together so he'll still win. Thats how to get everyone on board, make them think they get something but remind them it's only because you let them :) Maori party will do as they're told and take it to their people . Hone understands that an inroad is an opportunity. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.Or I could be completely wrong, so i'll just stop there :o (yawning)
That episode of House was a real tear jerker tonight :( -

"I am just going to keep my happy, smiley self. I am sure I will be the glue between all of them." (Hide & Dunne that is)
Yes didn't know how to take that. I think I felt a bit ew and I guess sticky works and Hide then Dunne wraps it up .There is 3 strong egos there, and then there is the National Party, still silent and background.

blood-letting went on behind a closed caucus room door.
Perhaps this is the National way Craig, but I doubt Labour would even consider such behaviour ;)

Can't help but feel Labour will steal the thunder to night on the news which will probably piss a few Nats off which kinda puts a new light on Keys "renewal" comment. Is the honeymoon over already? Of course I could be wrong, ahem.
