a crashed car on the ramp
Bfm informs me it is a crashed hijacked car, an' a gun an' everything.

Orderly, bring a stretcher!
lol.
I noticed Leonard Cohen changed his lyrics from " democracy is coming" to "has come to the USA" which I felt was his way of acknowledging the inauguration whilst in our country seeing that he was 'ere annat. He also said that we had a peaceful country but I am sure some could argue otherwise, so... what? I'll just say, what Sacha or Danielle said for now.

As Leonard Cohen so aptly put tonight, "Democracy has come to the USA"...... Shit that was one gooood concert. :)

They were one of the joys of my trip back to NZ at Xmas. Now I need to find an excuse to come back during Bluff season....
....and when you find the excuse, 1/2 way down Dominion Rd will give you a fine selection for dining. The only booking that would be required would be Merediths but worth it I hear and after that, good cheap authentic cuisine and little shops with authentic ingredients. But you knew that eh?

TVotR were underwhelming, thanks to the sound problems and the fairly massive drain of energy from the stadium as the Pendulum fans poured out and up the steps.
Ok , that was probably why the folk I was with weren't impressed with TV on the Radio (old, opinionated, sound guys ) but I reckon up the back of Bfm delivered quite... well..... well. Trees made for a good setting for quiet time and table and views for good look at main stages and quick delivery to front when needed. I came away thinking alot of the bands had good and bad parts but happily accepted that, that is the way the cookie crumbles, but Neil was the bestest and I expected that and was happy ,happy, joy, joy.

So, what sort of an idiot do you have to be to dress your three-year-old in his best and newest shirt and then let him eat dark red cherries?
That's no idiot. That is someone who knows that clothes do not maketh the man. :)

There's a short clip of that here ...
We got a good video of that ourselves Russell and agree, was excellent.

I would have loved to see My Morning Jacket,
We wandered over that way (after some Brits going to Spiritualised the other night, suggested them) but for me, it didn't impress, so headed to the Boiler room for Zane Lowe. TV on the Radio were another recommendation which was da bomb.Thoroughly enjoyed them. Of course Neil Young was just as we wanted, and the round off of Headless chooks was a great way to leave the Stadium. Our only complaint was the stupid noisy (not working properly) snow machine some twit thought a good idea at the Sumtwit Bar. We managed to educate the operator that it was not a good idea. It was a great BDO. :)

,
I'm a proud mama.
Happy new year Jackie, I am assuming the dog in question is the little one in the middle of the photo. Although the black one does suggest it really is no big deal :) I'm off up north to Doubtless Bay area and to friends without power but some do so I might check in later. My dog (Stella) adores the Coca Cola lakes up there. It is a bit of a spiritual place for anyone who discovers them and Stella is in her element there so we will send positive vibes to your dog for you.
Thank-you for the birthday wishes . I like that I am now Sofie 1 Islander. Adios amigos.
