Incidentally, though, the Exclusive Brethren have just resurfaced in Victoria, according to this morning's Melbourne Age, which I've just emailed to Russki and sundry others...

Oh, * that*. I reviewed it on Gaynz.Com last week. It's tame compared to "Perversion for Profit," which includes puzzled looking drawings of women in fetishwear, women sitting and standing idly under the impression of being 'lesbian', and gay physique mags from the fifties and sixties.
And the histrionics about sixteen major civilisations, and Commie conspiracies have to be read to be believed. I have a hypothesis that this may be responsible for Pat Bartlett...

Just cross-checked the Rolling Stone list of the ten
worst Congresspeople with the results, courtesy of
Wikipedia. Only two of them, Waldron and Pombo,
were given the boot...Craig Y.

But not in Arizona, interesting enough- although I gather that it is somewhat of a libertarian stronghold...

Insofar as Casey goes, I'm half-inclined to agree
with my namesake about his views on abortion-
he's just as bad as his late dad on that score-
but apparently, while opposing SSM, he does
support opening adoption access to same-sex
parents, so perhaps he's not quite as dire as
all that...However, Santorum was a hypergodbot of the
worst sort. He makes even our own unlamented
Paul Adams (UFNZ) and current Gordon Copeland
(UFNZ) look like soggy kittens by comparison.Craig Y

Thanks to Hard News, clicked on the Rolling Stone article on how corrupt the Republicans have become over the last decade. There appears to be massive rorting and pork-barrelling, but I suspect the result will be closer than the polls suggest, simply due to the F Factor - fundies. You should see the US Christian Right websites, particularly Focus on the Family [http://www.family.org] trying to get out the godbot vote for the midterms. However, this time, they may be facing a tidal wave of disillusionment and anger at the Iraqi War quagmire.
Lame duck? If Bush faces a hostile Congress after today, I hope it decides to impeach the cokesnorting one. According to Rolling Stone, there's certainly enough to get him on...

U2. Beautiful Day, because I like its edgy uncertain undertones.
