Because tomatoes are a fruit rather than a vegetable. Another caution: don't pick tomatoes if you are a smoker of rollies as you may transmit debilitating Tobacco Mosaic Virus to the plant.
Ain't nature wonderful!

Yes, it is a great little doco (well, 90+ minutes long). The film vs digital debate sort of ends up in a scoreless draw.

In other film news, Dargaville is about to open a new art house cinema (in the old town hall), after years of fund-raising and no cinema for 30 years.

I haven't read the book (no longer young and barely qualify as an adult) but I was quite moved by Kim Hill's interview with Dawe last Saturday. A very sensitive and thoughtful bloke and obviously a top-notch teacher. Check it out on the RNZ site if you haven't heard it.

Sounds excellent. I intend to travel up for next week's show.

If I don't get up this week's recording (with sore foot and all), I will certainly do so next week, bringing my lovely daughter who will be home from uni.

Hope your plane worked, Russell. I won't be joining you in Wellington as Hamilton Airport remains closed by fog--possibly generated by heavy breathing from the nearby Field-days,.
Will try to get up to the next Media3 screening.Have you taken a listen to the new Vampire Weekend CD? Very good!
