Islander @ there is a doco on the privatisation of water & the strike back of those dispossessed (Peru I think) . Same thing as The Take - Argintinas taking over the closed factories by the workers. Some may see this as Communism, but it has a subtle difference as being locally run by particapatory democracy, not a central council and so it is more correctly described as anachist IMO.
To be fair to National, none of these assests are national. It is a regional privatisation.
Wealth assets are pretty evenly distributed between National and Local Govts.
Just Local Govts have limits and our National (State) Govt has no constitution by which to be restrained. -

Darth Margaret Bazely has been sent in by Darth Creech to secure the newly formed Gallonic Empire. The clones will soon be on their way.
I believe the exact words to Darth Margaret Bazelys by a member of Ecan was:
“I'm a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan.”
“You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor. Take her away!”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_yM_Wa9X8Frk/R5_vEEkzH5I/AAAAAAAAB1c/uPgK3ayDk1M/s320/DARK%2BSITH.jpg

Late again and I'm not even at work.
A man I know who is about to turn 60 is off down the mines again, after promising himself never again. It's pretty rough down the mines and close calls are frequent.
The pension was never intended for his type. They tend to die before that, or be so crippled by their life of labour as to not enjoy their shortened twilight years.
The subcontracting in major mines brings forward different pressures to get work done, and just maybe might impact on safety.
I hope the rush for minerals will be tempered by adhering to standards, environmental and industrial.
As for prostitutes, in the Marxist Economic model it makes perfect sense, as much as any economics make sense. That invisable hand of Adam Smith is up to no good.
I've known some incredible and intelligent people who have worked in the industry. They're out of it now, and none the worse for it, that I can see, but we all know the headlines. -
I do think to worry about the dogs name in Dam Busters misses the point of celebrating a war crime.
