Wonderful transporting writing. Inspired to track down these perfumes now. Could get expensive!

Yes, it was a well-run event in a fabulous location.
Only scary moment was trying to get across that bridge after watching SJD at the lakeside stage. We were jam packed and confronted with waves of people travelling towards us. We vowed not to attempt that egress again - it felt unsafe.
Our main reason for going to BDO - being more the Laneway-types, was to see Arcade Fire, who I've wanted to see live for years. They were everything Helen and I could hope for - transcendent. Such a great band.
All in all a fantastic experience.

Thank you for sharing Russell. I'm thinking of your family and your loss this Christmas. My sister died 23 years ago (she was 23). She will always be with us in her absence.

'Governance' - a nasty word that seems to have replaced any notion of 'responsibility', is used frequently, and seems to be singularly lacking in social, corporate and political walks of life.

Very pleased to hear this.

'Chorus' (of disapproval). Cf 'Rollout', 'copper' and 'UFB'

Goldenage.
The state NZ’s arts are apparently in according to Chris Finlayson. This in the year that Wellington’s Downstage Theatre closed its doors, and literary journal ‘Sport’ loses its funding.
Also the state TV Drama is supposedly enjoying. This in the year NZ sees the cancellation of 'Go Girls', 'Nothing Trivial'. 'The Almighty Johnsons', and 'The Blue Rose' due to indifferent ratings.

And TVNZ have announced today that Nothing Trivial will not be renewed. Another NZ TV drama series comes to an end.
