I never thought Andy would quit. The real question is why he was back on TV. It was Deakers show wasn't it, nuf said.

Lancaster Park has had those horns - vevuzalas for the Crusaders for years. They're just not as popular as they are in South Africa, and now they've banned them.
Me thinks they just rationalised product lines. -
ChrisW, I had nukes in mind. I'm quite happy for nukes to be used to blast a tumour, but not so much that it's used in war.

Allan Hubbard, bank roller of csnty irrigation and Christchurch Developer Dave Henderson is under investigation by SFO.
It might be coincidence but I saw a rural accountant with a black eye, it is ski season, but I smiled. I know that means I'm petty.

Ben, thanks I really appreciate your input.
Did you quantify the cooresponding loss of life when your numbers went into a death spiral?

Rich & Bart, diversity of species is an issue.
The more variety of types and species gives more resilience againgst blights. GE & Big Farming may increase yeild, but reduce variety and so increase food security risks, such as the Irish Potatoe Blight. Then we get "Market" Forces to buy/sell the lowest priced food, usurping our own countries sustainability (we currently can not feed ourselves or our live stock). Shit this sounds like the export of potatoes during the potatoe blight.
GE in farming is just the extention of industrial farming.
GE has a place in hospitals, but not farms.

How do you get vegan out of sheep being less polluting than dairy?
-
Russell, our change in Agro-Culture has been aggressive in maximizing production, beyond any past levels of production.
Sheep/Trees/Wheat to Dairy has been massive and so too the increase in all types of pollution.
GE Clover is like a bandaid for a shotgun blast.
The other costs are more important, lets address clean streams first and this issue will look after itself, once better agriculture choices are made.

Hmm the PEDA-file.
The advice was pretty clear not to touch it. -
I voted Green largely for their Social Policy - Sue Bradford et al.
I'm not particularly against GE. Good old GE Free Nelson had to answer their diabetics questions "Do we have to leave?"
GE Clover is a solution to what? The 'problem' being fixed is clover, but there is no problem with clover.
Is there an issues of food production and projected production?
There is a problem with food distribution, certainly, but not production. This goes to standards of living and for us wasted resources. Look at consumption rates rather than production rates against requirements & production isn't an issue.
Maximising production, is short termed and short sighted, so too the choices of what is produced.
This is where we should start, not trying to prolong an acknowledged failed product line.
