It's a new Trumpian world ....

BTW I introduced "A Tale in the Dessert" to a friend's ASD son a decade ago, he got to play with his Mum, it's an MMO that's quiet and low key, no shooting, no killing, gentle encouragement to get on with your neighbours, but can be happily soloed. I think it really worked well for him.
I started playing it again recently (after 15 years), Egypt is still there, big and quiet as ever
(atitd.com like all good drugs the first few hits are free)

As someone with a son at a summer music festival I did feel the urge to text him an equivalent of the rather famous Woodstock message :
(did they announce "stay away from the purple X" over the PA at R&V?)

Not being religious we have never celebrated christmas, we have always however celebrated Xmas - the capitalist holiday for buying lots of stuff for small children - and we have a family tradition of tying a $20 to the top of the tree to remind ourselves what it's all about (when we lived in the US we would put the tree out intact to be found by a wandering homeless person or the city crew that picked up the trees)

Yes everyone in this house voted weeks ago (except me, I'm not a citizen)

Here’s some apparent context to National’s involvement
-
Yes I agree - at this point I can't really understand why National would still be involved with looking after JLR's health/etc it seems to me that they have an enormous conflict of interest
I particular it seems to me that the one thing they want to avoid at all costs is him in parliament using parliamentary privilege, after all he knows where all the bodies are buried

it's a bunch of people who hate unions, hate taxes,
And likely taxpayers too, since their main modus operandi seems to be putting their words in our mouths

A party of two would probably require special rules .... it sort of breaks everything

remember that absolutely anyone can be nominated NZer of the year, even Don Brash
