Hard News: Really good, actually, in reply to
I think you’ll find a correlation between concentrations of evangelical Christianity in the US and consumption of cable porn.
i lived in East Texas. the secret to getting the playboy was simultaneously pushing two buttons on the cord-connected remote control.
this required two hands.
sneaky damn born-agains.

The government has screwed up its books and created a permanent structural deficit by giving away tax cuts to the rich.
to play devils advocate, surely the intention was for this 'forgone revenue' to be transferred to the GST take?
a grand idea well and truly screwed by the GFC?
if so, then the revenue will return once the economy picks up. which is, you know, never.

The only problem with borrowing more is that it might damage the ultra-leveraged speculators who did most of that private borrowing.
you say that like it's a bad thing. would be interesting to know what proportion have based their leverage on rorts like family trust + WFF, or LAQC.

which is far preferable to "another Bosnia".

Just that letters to the Editor should follow every crap piece complaining as I think RB just showed David Kemeys.
just got the reply back to my complaint.
Kearney's is pretty reasonable about it. preci: don't necessarily like what he's says, but defend his right to do so [in my paper].
NOTE: this is better than the Minister of Corrections, who is yet to front any kind of reply.

OK, I’ll upgrade to “Get a good Android”.
i'm constantly running appkiller, and have been reliably told that the high-end ones also have crap battery life.
although, i have dropped it on the corner and the screen didn't shatter. this already makes it better than an iPhone4.

I bet Garth that someone would say "get an Android!"
i have an entry-level android ($370 on parallel import! FTW!), and am thinking of trading up to iPhone.
driving it is just a little too much of a hassle sometimes.
