banning of Darren Watson's song just seems petty and silly... what next books?
I've taken to following Mr Busnach cause of your incessant posting of his goods *shakes fist*... the Geraldine Superstar Cabaret remix of Lawrence Welk's Chicken Polka is pure class (well if polka, chickens and silliness is classy) - songs like this make me wish I still did radio (cue collective sigh of relief by hundreds)

I'm picking Caribou for one of the best albums of the year, dudes a wicked producer

if they are after comments they should get Shelley Bridgeman to write some politically charged columns - something like the best shoes to wear to a voting booth and why do we wear shoes anyway

Does the Labour party have a comms team? A strategic team? Anyone with a clue...
they really don't want to win do they? -
"and, apparently, never having been to a hip hop show before"
this! If any young people followed the boring old news media... they'd have their suspicions confirmed -that "old" people really are quite weird
Had the pleasure of hearing the Shihad album last night - wow its amazing and simply brutal... I've never been a fan of their output but this ones going into the collection for sure.

I wonder if candidates can use signs

Political interviews and debates seem to be about shouting over your opponent making snide comments, simplistic point scoring, being plain rude and saying anything that doesn't actually involve policy or often the actual truth - so while the outline of this meeting seems odd... the candidates might actually say something of value to those attending and actually answer the questions posed to them

its been a week of pianos for me and without wanting to alarm piano purists (is there such a thing?) for me that means rave and happy hardcore. So I found DJ Slipmatt on Soundcloud and he has a truckload of mixes from recently and back in the day
this 2013 Bestival (so would like to attend on of these) mix is a cracker - loads of classic house, rave, acid and other tracks mixed beautifully

The Joy Orbison essential mix is another cracker

and speaking of things chilly... a taste of the new Chills album via Fire Records

Hard News: The crybaby philosopher, in reply to
It’s a curious that ACT feel the need to say anything at all
I'd suggest that with each utterance of stupid Act make will take attention away from the conservatives (their intellectual peers on the right) - this works for Act, their coalition partner and gifter of seats
or perhaps he just can't help himself

Hard News: The crybaby philosopher, in reply to
Whyte is an embarrassment.
plus his parties relationship with National and thus gift of a seat is a huge insult to all New Zealanders
If anything Whyte and his outlandish notions of rational argument deserve to be mocked more, the guys an idiot

Hard News: Friday Music: Why anyone does…, in reply to
the Greg Wilson mixes in particular
I am guessing you've already found his SC account - DL mixes for days... the perfect summer wine outside music I reckon... or currently sitting beside heater cheer up tunes - I so want to do one of those croatia boat cruise extended parties they do in summer
I'm on the meh on diplo's remix, solid as it is - expected way too much perhaps.... all a little underwhelming, which i guess is the point but I wanted madness
