  • OnPoint: Transcription of new Rick Perry…, in reply to Lucy Stewart,

They actually overspend by quite a bit, because the whole system is just so inefficient (and devoted to producing profits for health insurance and drug companies.)

IMhO, this succinctly explains the core of the problem in the simplest of terms.

There, but for the grace of Od, go we?

The enormity of players past and present will all be absorbed in the body of our Rugby Leviathan.

Lets move on and demand something in Aotea Square!

A big screen out the front of the Museum would be good, or even project it onto the museum.

Whatever they do to allow 10s of thousands to have their wine and cheese at the Concert in the Park could be stretched to beer and hotdogs, surely?

    ETA: Or alternatively, this.

I was actually wondering how Richie was keeping it together for a while there. When Hobbs paid testament to him as a man, I was tearing up.

That was an incredibly genuine moment, I thought. Mana and aroha, for want of two better words.

The view above was from our corner. Considering the ground had two games in under 24 hours, and 120,000 people through the gates, scrubbed up pretty well.

I'll have to enter this discussion as a page three boy.

It indeed was a great atmosphere at the game on Sunday, and we seemed to be surrounded by people we knew, or their children, along with the colourful and ebullient supporters of both teams.

My greatest regret is at the time I bought the tickets it didn't seem like the kind of place to take the young un's, but they would have loved it. Although it would have turned our area into a day-care centre, which I'm not sure everyone would have appreciated.

There was this one guy though, doing his best to support Fiji, who seemed to think their whole back line was called Ulysses Bastarde. Or that's kind of what it sounded like with a slur going.

I also hope the person whose soggy ticket we found on Sandringham road before the game had faith in our population, because the helpful person with a radio I handed it to assured me they could ring in the number and he/she would still get in.

Auckland was sure good to me this weekend, and let's not get started on the Warriors. I might cry.

Funnily enough I was just thinking the opening to this NuTone remix of Emeli Sande Heaven had a certain Massive Attack vibe. At about 24 secs in.

(I find myself singing this song after breaking up or being broken up with by now-exs).

That song makes my hair and toes curl. It was always a favourite, although I haven't listened to it for too long. Thanks for that.

"I've swallowed a secret burning thread
It cuts me inside, and often I've bled"
He laid his hand then on top of her head
And he bowed her down to the ground.

    Damn that's beautiful.

Since it's Friday, I'm going to take up the broken hearted love song meme.
