Hard News: Friday Music: History, motherfuckers, in reply to
Does anyone remember last year when Sweetman slagged off Autozamm and so they wrote a diss track called ”The Review”, including a video featuring a sweaty lookalike music reviewer? No one won.
I actually think Sweetman won that one. It made him look smart and above the line in comparison

I actually agree with what Sweetman is trying to say, but again he lets himself down with cheap shots. However that doesn't mean we should engage in a fight to the bottom.
I have heard a few Lorde songs, and she is OKAY, but nothing special, I really fail to see the excitement and hype. But good on her, being a Kiwi and climbing the US charts no mean feat.

We use these tests to death in my line of work (social sector agency). But I have seen them used well, particularly going into management (god forbid) to understand people’s communication styles so I can tailor my approach to different people. So its a small tool, amongst actually getting to know staff, for me as a manager, but not to find out who I should or shouldn't fire.

Me too, until a colleague (incidentally, also from New Jersey) sat me down and made me listen to Nebraska. Turns out the image I had of Springsteen was way different from the reality.
Or Darkness on the edge of town. People think of him as some over the top patriot by listening to the chorus of Born in the USA. I saw him in Melbourne over easter, front row. Nothing short of a religious experience, that man can put on a show

Absolutely for reals! It’s a completely weird booking, but it’s sure to be interesting telly.
Part of me died when I saw that

God knows i'm not a journalist, but the whole advertorial thing seems to be getting murkier and murkier. Between this, Sky city, the 'Iron Maidens' etc etc Thats not a slight on the PR thats their job, its more of a slight on the journalists involved.
Even if it isn't part of their story, they are essentially being paid in food to talk about a product. I realise this isn't Hanover finance, but it certainly leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth for me (sorry for the pun) on journalistic integrity.
Mediawatch did a good wrap on it yesterday http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/mediawatch/audio/2549345/mediawatch-for-17-march-2013.asx

No and I still stand by that, I was simply stating a fact.

I thought helmets were only required on public roads?
