David Cameron went to Eton?
I thought John Key liked to eat in.

Going back a bit.
I think (and may be wrong) that calling the alternative they are discusssing 'Alternative Vote' is misleading at this stage.
I think they just agreed to discuss an alternative (to FPP), rather than a Capital-A-Alternative, if you see what I mean.
Not sure, but, according to this report, the Conservatives have agreed to support a referendum on Alternative Voting (as in Australia) or Alternative Voting Plus (AV+).
As alluded to earlier, there seems to be quite a lot of confusion, particularly among the media, as to what they are actually talking about. They don't even seem to know what's going on in Scotland, so getting them to look this far for examples would seem optimistic.

unix in-joke
Priceless.

Oh, I'm fine with it, honestly. I suspected it might be the case, and there's no reason a person of my relatively advanced vintage needs to be there.
Harrumph! To coin a phrase, if not you, then who?
And yes, before being droll, perhaps one should actually listen to the discussion, which is available on the bFM bCasts here.

"online reputation management masterclass"
Yeah, I mean what would be more worthwhile is "you destroyed what scant reputation you had, so lets help scrap your rotting corpse off the virtual pavement".

The Tom Dixon S chair.
Yummm! This is my 'I could never afford that, but god I want it' chair.
Regina ll Armchair From Poltrona Frau. I would have to get the fluffy cat to go with it.
I'm guessing after the above news, the furniture porn is over, unless we start eating it.

I can never remember her name tho' she wiped the floor with the 7Days crowd, and that was fun to watch.
Jacinda Ardern. And don't read anything into the fact that I could post that within seconds.

Although it might have been nice if someone had bothered with a call or email to let me know I wasn't going to be required on Friday mornings. That was a bit rude. But also classic bFM ...
I was going to ask about that. I have missed the few Friday's since and just assumed you were still there.
But in light of your comments about not complaining in restaurants, I hope you see the irony. 'Hey, where's my bloody slot gone?' When you reach institutional or heritage status, it's not throwing your toys out of the cot, it's just exercising your birth right.
But really, I'm being a bit serious. You should be there, if you want to be.
More than one. Let's just say "the late 90s".
And into the noughties too. Please tell me it was more recent, as otherwise I'm old.
