But, like I said, you don't know shit about the film business.

I'd very much like to add something but I've just read Kracklite's contribution and can't possibly say it better... any of it. Thanks.
Hear, hear.

The Cinema of Unease was great and all, but if Muldoonism is the price to be paid to get it, I'm don't want it.
The Piano, An Angel at My Table, Once Were Warriors - all made after Muldoon. (And I saw all of them in Italy, to quite some fanfare.)

"It is envisaged that this material will be included on all DVDs and digital products likely to reach tens of millions of international consumers. In addition to this, the government will be working with Time Warner as a strategic partner to promote New Zealand across their stable of media outlets."
We are chasing the market of people who watch the extra content on DVDs. The all important have-no-life demographic.

Nice turns of phrase though, you must admit.

Calling him "Jonkey" is like shouting, "Yah yah yah. You've got a stupid name."
I'm not above that.

Ross, I vaguely recall the first time this soubriquet was used here that some of us asked that we not go around making up dismissive names for the Prime Minister (a la the sewer's treatment of Helen Clark)
I'm sorry... what's wrong with jonkey? It's not exactly at sewer-level, is it? And I think finding and using dismissive names for the Prime Minister is pretty sacrosanct.

You know, if we didn't have employers, people wouldn't have jobs. #justsaying
Ever heard of cooperatives? Or self employed people? Or people employed by the state, therefore essentially by themselves? Just saying.

I'll say.
