Brazil doesn't seem to have too much trouble blasting it into the net I've noticed.
Exactly.*
And I was about to say that at least New Zealand (particularly Ricki Herbert) has been mostly future focused and positive, but I hear Nelson may be a few coins lighter after letting rip on the ref. Can't find a reference, but the guy next door seems to know what's going on.
* They may have 'milked' plenty of free kicks, but none of their players were booked for 'simulation', although they were 'simulating' a team of amateurs in another sense.

UEFA 1968. That was quite a story. Even a re-match for the final!
Another reason why 1968 was such a globally significant year, and one I'm quite attached to myself, just quietly. -
Italy won Euro 68 like that. I shit you not.
It was a coin of two sides, and...?
[Spoiler Alert]
Seriously, in Doctor Who that would break the space time continuum, open a rift in the fabric of the Universe, and it would all be over. -
Apparently if we draw with Paraguay by the same amount as Slovakia draws with Italy then it will come down to a coin toss between us and Italy!
'ALL WHITES TAILS UP FTW'
World ends...

We've made one commentators top ten World Cup Upsets of all time! Of. All. Time!*
Our 8 year old summed up the Italian game nicely I thought. 'Drama queens!'
*Note it is the only draw on the list.

Jane Campion's Sweetie fits that particular description for me.
Agree with that.
Thanks for the retweet Jolisa ;-) That TWTATL soundtrack is great.
Spooky probably my favourite. -
IF SATC2 is a foolish film, where can I find a good film about women and their lives?
Kind of obvious I suppose, but maybe this; Topless Women Talk About Their Lives. Is that TOFO enough? Was made by a man but, so possibly not.

Glad I'm not alone in entering on page four. Not being a big fan of labels either, perhaps men are not so much feminists as feminised. Yes I know this term is also loaded, but I am trying to think of what makes us, as men, see how the things we think and do might curtail the freedom of women around us. We can't 'walk in your shoes', in any meaningful sense, but haven't we the faculties to achieve a degree of empathy, and therefore just fucking get along a bit better?

Toni at the end of three news. 'I'm looking forward to John Campbell's horn'. Chortle I did, mmm, yess.

World champs rather than chokers, too. Sorry bout that.
Actually, in a threadmerge sort of way, the first time I encountered the Vuvuzelas was at a Women's NPC (or whatever it's called now) Rugby match at Eden park. There were only a handful of us supporting North Harbour (long story), but we had the horns, and did we make a noise. I think the ref wanted to have us banned.
