Outrageous Fortune, definitely NZ's best show ever in my book.
Better even than the early years of Selwyn Toogood's It's in the Bag? More ground-breaking than Blerta? More important than Tangata Whenua?
Sorry, just a perennial thing I have about bold claims of best ever ... All Black performance, sporting success, tv show

Grade-A lunacy. With your money.
You may regret having used this title now, should Banks' Supercity Olympics proposal get any traction in the real world...
Nah. That would be Gold Medal Lunacy.
You'd never make it as a subbie, being so blind to obvious puns =)

Oi! Coach needs going on one of them positive affirmation seminars, before the next World cup.
Nah. He knows we're making the knock-out round next time, so are chances of going unbeaten are slim.

4-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 70-68.
This is the place to post it, right? Just wow.

Sure a fine/match ban for persistent diving, but most of it is spur of the moment stuff.
As are most punches thrown in rugby, I'd imagine...
-
take Andy Haden - he dived ... Won the game, sure, but ever since he's been scorned as unmanly.
I don't believe it did win the game. The penalty the ref awarded was for an unrelated matter elsewhere on the field.

But Sep Blatter doesnt like that new fangled technology. So figuring out a solution wont happen till he F's off.
I'd have thought a good compromise solution would be:
* the referee calls it as he sees it;
* anyone caught out on the TV goes before the football judiciary facing fines, or match bans, or whatever it is that people face in football. -
PEEDA sounds even worse than PEDA.
As long as no-one finds a file, I'll be happy.

Herald: Carter : 'I unreservedly apologise to the NZ public':
Mr Carter repaid $251 last week, but has not acknowledged any wrong-doing or issued any apology.
I give up.
The perils of a quickly updating story. Carter comes out of the Caucus meeting, and doesn't apologise. Herald updates this morning's story to that effect.
Phil Goff goes off. Carter apologises half-an-hour later; top of story and headline updated, but old story remains in tact until later.

It's a pity the valedictory editorial wasn't edited.
The verb form of injunction is enjoin.
[a point I made way back here :-) ]
