It's internet activism. Or, as I like to call it, inactivism.
That's... beautiful, man.

A blast of it's-too-new-to-be-nostalgia: did anyone ever find out what the deal was with that family that supposedly got scammed out of RWC tickets?

I doubt Rod Donald would hold it against us and 2005 is definitely not Too Soon.
As for the rest, I cracked up. Nicely done good sir!

I'm stunned that Obama is ahead in the polls. I am trying not to become complacent. It could still all go horribly wrong! Wrong I say!
I cannot shake the feeling that, whatever happens on US election day, Americans and the rest of the world are in for either
a) another four to eight years of the same useless bombast, possibly accompanied by the end of the world as we know it
b) heartbreaking disillusionment as the new President proves to be just as constrained by the US system as his 'progressive' forebears. -
I do wonder, though, what Americans would make of kea. They look so cute, until you find out just what vicious vandals they actually are!
I'd guess they probably map quite neatly onto raccoons in that sense.

I used to happily rummage the RG singles and sales tables. I also recall ordering in a few CDs at $50 a pop in about 2002, such as Understanding by New Flesh, which I thought was genius at the time.
A drop in disposable income around 2004 saw me paying rather less regular visits - I popped in in late 2007 to buy Mint Chicks tickets, but that's the last time I've entered the store.

Thanks sam, I think..... although a contrarian would just say the opposite for the sake of it
I did mean to be positive - perhaps I didn't quite get the actual meaning of contrarian-ness. You have made some valid points, as have others, and your tenacity in argument makes for interesting threads.

For those that don't know Auckland, Hobson Street is the highest ridge in the CBD. And it is lined (littered) with a dozen very tall very cheap high density crap apartment blocks. All of them 'shoebox' apartments.
And I thought to myself: what a frikken waste of prime real estate. What an indictment on our council that they allowed these cheap-arse crapholes to be built.
It's probably not surprising that you get crapartments on a street with near-constant, speeding, vicious one-way traffic headed for the motorways. Tends not to encourage high-quality architecture. Still, they could have done a lot better.

Heh. Did I kill the unkillable?

Nascar is boring, even the author of NZ's biggest Nascar fan blog has drifted way off topic...
Ok, that was good.
