Ahh outdated laws requiring evidence, as opposed to new, futuristic, forward thinking laws that Dunne suggests based on look and smell.
Guy's a fucking idiot.

Then again, i'm also waiting for the time Redbaiter comes out of the closet.. theres so much pent up sexual frustration in his posts... and he's a little bit too obsessed with people's sexuality..
-
I still think that Redbaiter is a troll account set up by a lefty :-P

Boilerrom.tv does it quite well for the london underground bass music scene (in terms of live streams of club nights rather than concerts)... I'm looking at doing a similar thing here in Auckland for 'live" gigs.. just via ustream.tv /Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder and a Hi Def camera / audio signal out of mixer.. will be interesting if I can get it to work in a club environment or not.

HEh just picked up a 1986 release by farley jackmaster funk at Real Groovy for $4 on the weekend.
Really interesting how a lot of younger london DJs (especially Ben UFO from Hessle Recordings) are picking up on this sort of stuff and rolling it in their sets.
Check out some of the sets on http://boilerroom.tv/ for more.
Pretty sure even mosca who I had down at Be Club last thursday dropped some old school trax stuff!

Hard News: Getting dressed for the party, in reply to
Wearing your elected rep hat, you might want to fact check, two buildings were bowled for a pathway (next door to the school), the rest were moved.
My old place was one of the bowled ones... kinda makes all the work we did on the garden, fencing etc as tenants pointless eh
-
Relocated my ass, my old flat got completely bowled.. :-(
Thanks Council...

Strangely enough - Real Groovy is my favorite bookshop in auckland.

Suprised re your experience at the bar in Studio, I've run a few events there (easter weekender, foreign beggars/freestylers, mampi swift, b complex etc) and they have generally had at least 5 people on the bar + glassys, manager etc in the main room and been pretty damn fast.
From both a promoters and punters POV I think they are the best venue/sound system etc for that sized crowd. Though it is really important to get in early and sound check with that system.

As someone who has voted for ACT the last 3 elections, few things scare me more than Muriel Newman getting back into parliament.
The words "Bat Shit Crazy" come to mind, and thats from one of them crazy right wing gun totin rednecks...
I'll never forget coming down after a gig in the days where party pills were legal and hearing her reccomend (I shit you not) at some meeting on the shore - that we cut the hands of shoplifters .... then some crazy fucker with a neck beard start a 20 minute rant on the evils of the word "liberal"...
