Hard News: #NetHui: it's all about you, in reply to
I'm both chief and cheap.

Someone (Ben?) asked a couple of pages back what got some people to comment?
I've noticed that I only comment when people talk about lurkers - pretty sure this was the last time I commented, ooh, about 4 years ago. I'm the archetypal lurker. I'd offer myself as a research subject but I'm too busy lurking to answer any research questionnaires.

looked up gruntle but it is not in the Oxford. Wonder what a gruntle looks like?
It's well-known to be an avian species, the egg-yolk of which is a key ingredient in Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse-Maker. Can't think how the Oxford could have missed this.

With Thomas, it's the egregious unitarist indoctrination of juveniles, with their plastic brains and unquestioning acceptance of a omnipotent patriarch that I find disturbing - bet the Fat Controller is pdq to kick any union rep off the island of Sodor. What kind of view of the employer-employee relationship are our children going to grow up with? (ooh, have I got back to religion?)

This childfree aunt admits to teaching siblings' offspring to fish(in those instances where their parents havent provided this essential lifeskill), eat properly with their fingers, collect fireworks for auspicious occaisions (*not* Guy Fawkes), enjoy outre foods from huhu to tofushakes to roes...

I'm always disappointed by the super-short segment given to Phil Kafcaloudes to discuss news from Australia. The segment is usually dominated by Sean Plunket rattling at top speed through the three most ridiculous stories from over the ditch in the last week. No doubt Phil is a busy man, but what a waste of his time and ours - surely he could be spared a full five minutes and some talking space to discuss something worth hearing other than the latest lurid headlines? And I'm not even an aussie. Am I wrong to want to hear more from Phil Kafcaloudes?

Does this mean we can look forward to another story where you WERE the person who was stabbed? You've raised our expectations now!

On the front page of the Dom Post today - who needs a jacket to keep the rain off, when you can have this? Though a jacket, even a fancy one, is cheaper...
