  • Doris Parker,

Gotta admit. Democracy's a big ask. But all me mates at work agree this Robin character is what gives your blog some colour. The danger is you blog degenerate into boring boring sterile! We want Robin! We want Robin! We want Robin!

  • merc,

I'm sorry if the quote "Charlie don't fucken surf" offends you (actual quote from the film Apocalypse Now) and in context wouldn't really cut it with, "because our enemy seems to repudiate our attempts to provide them with decent aquatic leisure activities..." or does,
"We will bomb them back into the stone-age", offend your sensibilities more? Thought not.

'Doris' of NZ's best internationally known tourist destination, with your 2 posts (both only appearing after the excommunication of Robin) you are obviously a long time listender, first time contributor. I'm sure all of your mate at work does support Robin and finds himself infinitely fascinating. Which reminds me, has anyone heard about the fantastic benefits of cigarettes? Although I don't work for them or benefit from this in anyway, you can find amazing facts about the health benefits of smoking at rothmanstruthfoundation.org. Clinical trials prove that smoking reduces the signs of aging by up to 53.264% and that its active agent is less carcinogenic than even palm oil. by the way, while i sit here balancing my arsehole on my finger for more colour have you ever heard about the magnificent benefits of waging illegal wars on other nations to make a profit and off-load your weapons stockpiles?

  • Richard Llewellyn,

Heh, while I'm sure you guys are enjoying your sport with Doris, don't you think there is something a little ironic about some of you giving her a hard time about her 'identity'?

Just a thought - One of the things I love about PA is the (generally speaking) lack of proprietary ownership of every single debate by the 'usual suspects' gang of idealogues who try and run every dissenter out of town.

Hope PA never strays too far down that path :)

  • Doris Parker,

Oh gross! Ridley's colourful balancing act has exhausted the very last of my goodwill towards Mr. Walker.

Mr. Brown, r u going to blackball him? Hope not, coz I still have faith in fairplay!

  • Amy G. Adams,

After working all day in my 70acre farm working me fingers to the bone planting brussels sprouts, your blog is something I look forward to. I agree with Doris that that guy Robin brings some welcome relief.

Richard is the only fair minded one apart from us ladies who's the good sense to see through all you " gang of idealogues who try to run every dissenter out of town"! Shame on you all! More power to Robin.

You ironically reframe Robyn G's comment. You, too, have a yahoo.com email address. Hi Robin.

Ah, the scene-setting first sentence from a first-time poster. Hi Robin.

  • Heather Gaye,

Nah, he wasn't a dissenter, he was a spambot. Other bloggers would have deleted his first (irrelevant, arguably commercial) right off the bat.

    "I'm not a spambot, I'm a real boy!"

  • Richard Llewellyn,

Erm, yes, that is a bit too weird.

I guess Robin has been busy. All that energy, to what end?

My earlier reference to 'idealogues and dissenters' was about another blog, on the other side of town, a place where I hope PA never goes ......

  • Sandy Howell,

Stop begging the question, Russell Brown! The question is "Are you going to blackball Ridley Walker"?

Like Doris, I certainly hope not. Power such as yours should be used judiciously, lest injustice triumphs.

I suspect that the only reason why you reacted the way you did was because Robin touched on a raw nerve - he had the tamerity to suggest that your indiscrimate consumption of whisky is beginning to influence your writing. It's got nothing to do with aesthetics, rudeness or any of the other red herrings that you proferred!

  • Robyn Gallagher,

After a hard day's toil in the scoria mines of New Zealand's Mt Eden, there's nothing I like more than relaxing with a nice glass of palm oil and scrunching up me panties, while I post two or possbily three messages on PA System.

    Therefore, I am.

  • Lisa Spencer,

After a hard day's toil in the oil palm plantations...Oooh Robyn, your brilliant pen just evoked fond memories of the times I spent in the oil palm plantations, reading your brilliant posts, tipping my wide brimmed Melbourne Cup replica hat to Russell's sense of fairplay!

  • Lisa Spencer,

Hi Russell. I'm a great fan of yours!

Whether Robin's a spambot or a real boy, I'm scrunching something everytime I read his posts. All the girls from Rangiora to Arrowtown, say together NOW: "We love Robin. We love Robin. But we love Russell more!"

  • Robyn Gallagher,

I think the obvious solution that Robin's harem of supporters - Sandy from Dunedin, Doris from Queenstown, Amy from Oamaru, Lisa from Rangiora - should form their own Robin Draper LiveJournal community where they can discuss his tales of exotic oils to their heart's content.

These ladies are obviously not long-term PA System members, so they would be better off forming a niche community for their own special needs.

And, oh, have they gots them some needs.

Actually, I've just realised that Draper's dames all live fairly close to each other. I suggest they all meet at Amy's place and have a "Robin Draper is awesome!!!" fondue party.
