Now they expect us to know who they are?
-
If the presence of cameras improved behaviour, we wouldn't have so much reality TV.
-
House that!

aaah, well, it still seems to be a spotlit sandpit to me, and it seems to encourage amateur stand-up routines of little legislative purpose - sure parliament is about speaking, but to an end, not just 'filler bluster' as it were...

Bit worried about what appears to be long feelers in the bottom left corner of the camera on this clip from the Marriage Equality Debate. And wasn’t that a missed opportunity to showcase some NZ music to a huge audience as we waited for the result.

Often thought the same. How hard would it be?
-
I would like coverage of select committee hearings too.

It is New Zealand music -- commissioned from the late Rob Winch.

Ta. A variety of NZ music, then.

The number one is the waiata after the third reading. But as Toby Manhire points out, the Maurice Williamson clip in second place here was ripped by a whole bunch of third-party sites, so probably got more views in total.

And again, emphasising how big that marriage equality bump was ...

It is a variety! It runs the gamut from lite-jazz to lite-reggae. And alllll the inoffensive noodling in between. :)

Mean of me, but I’m tempted to try catching the final episode of Gilmore’s Folly this afternoon, live. Anyone know the exact time?
-
I'm amazed the Military Manoeuvres Bill is running so high. I wrote about it at the time because it was so quirkily obscure: it repeals some First World War legislation which allowed the government to take over land for military training, and it hadn't been used for a very long time.

I believe it's Richard Prosser's speech about how New Zealand First will be voting against the bill based on the threat of a Finnish invasion. Not quite virulent, but people were trying to make it happen at the time.
