  • LegBreak,

And the Air NZ ad also features the CEO, which is quite cool.

    But No Beer for Megan!

Hey! What are you, my mother? Oh, right, that whole not drinking for a month thing.....

    <smiling nicely>

Um Hadyn, could we do it in August please?

  • Steve Barnes,

The safety video and the related TV ad have been very well received and drawn few complaints from anyone.

But won't somebody think of the children, we can't have children seeing breasts and things now can we?

  • Jackie Clark,

I happen to love that Air NZ ad - very clever I thought. Now, Russell - when can we expect to see the NZ version of the Fuck You song? Eh? I know you have been somewhat unwell, but it's just not on. The tease has gone on long enough. Any longer and I will suspect that you were just toying with your (well, PA's) loyal followers.

  • Tim Michie,

WARNING: Starts with optimetrist's devices. And whimsy. And diety. (I've put everyone off now, haven't I?)

And speaking of Lily Allen, too sweet for some I know but for my Mum y'know..?

  • Ben Gracewood,

Windows native support for video codecs is pretty dire.

Thankfully Windows 7 has improve massively in this area (and many others). It really is a pleasant surprise to have 95% of hardware drivers and video codecs 'just work' on a fresh install.

  • James Green,

You're 100% right Ben. Have been using Win 7 for watching Freeview HD since January ;)
Although having got used to these free OSs from M$ going to be hard to pony up hard cash.

  • Steve Barnes,

Just finished watching the Neil Young clip in all its digital niceness, good work Russ.
Actually I watched it 3 times. Did anyone else notice the people waving water bottles around half way through?
How un Rock 'n' Roll, water bottles, humph!
back in the day it were lighters but we don't smoke now do we?
Or it could have been Vodka bottles or cans of Waikato or what have ya.
Hell in a manger if you ask me.
    What ever next?
Jounalists writing "News" stories about each other? Naked telefone sales ladies and painted Air New Zealand CEOs?
Hell in a handbasket I tell yers.
TGIF as they say on bad radio.

I may just get myself some of that. Didn't go within a mile of Vista and my XP system is tweaked to the point of manic instability and my hardware is crying out for a decent OS
(tried flavors of Linux but driver availability sux).
So, if Win 7 is as good as I have been reading then Mr Gates may get a bit of my hard earned dosh. After all, I guess the guy has to eat.

Ah, well, of course a computer is a tool, and if you want to go turning it into a glorified jukebox, then that's your lookout.

  • Bruce Wurr,

just saw Neil Young at the weekend in Hyde Park - f*@cking awesome. A brutal guitar sound when he went electric (which was quite often!) he started with Hey Hey, My My and also included a 20 minute version of Down By the River.......it was spine tingling.

The Pretenders were on earlier and they weren't too shabby either! But I still don't get them Fleet Foxes..........

Lucky you. Seeing him here at Big day out was awe inspiring as well. I think very good medicine. Brutal he is. :) Cheers!

Ah, but. Linux is fine, as a tool, its just that when I take a break from work I have a world of entertainment at my fingertips. I am linked to the world from the comfort of my couch and control it all with a click and a scroll of the cordless mouse.

It would be nice if he put his clothes and actually paid people what they are worth:

Or stopped developing a nasty little cult of personality

A large file ( 349.4Mb) but well worth downloading, Black & White Town motown inspired magic.

Speaking of Neil (and I always am) He also finished Hyde park with A Day in the Life as usual but with the added attraction of McCartney joining in.
