@peace....the guy flows and he has lyric...good call.

I've been bonding with the @peace album over the last few days. It is good. It reminds me of the sort of hip hop that was coming out in the early '90s, the Native Tongue, scene, but with some acid jazz thrown in but with a bit of the thing that makes it a product of the now, not some '90s throwback. <3

Seriously? He's over in the UK, doing quite well for himself.

I didn't have my own flow on quite right on Friday morning -- been rewriting in my head. T=rather than "one of the better records to come out of this country, ever", which is a bit of a crap phrase, I'd now say "Without knowing they were doing it, they have, I think, turned out an instant classic."
I'm also quite hung up on Tom's great, rhythmic use of assonance in the intro to the first track, 'Home'. It is poetry.

The Dark Side of the Mic.
I guess a follow-up to 'The Sound Inside' is a few years overdue...

I've just noticed today - New Zealand vowels. It didn't even stand out at first, but then I heard the "can't", the "after". It didn't stand out because they just sound like ordinary dudes you hear around this country. They still sound like cool MCs, but ones that are happy to come from around these parts.
Hey, does this mean that cultural cringe thing is drying up? I hope so.
