I don't engage well with video. Too impatient, perhaps. I've always despised video tutorials, and finally crystallised my objection when I realised recently that I'd rather google for a transcript than watch a Ted Talk. Reading is faster, you can skip over the bits that are less of interest, and easily re-read the bits you need to read again. You can highlight and share salient sentences with others.
Media 7 was the only current affairs television that I watched, but not every week. Suffice it to say, I'm really loving that you're back. I used to be here several times a day, but need to get back in to that habit.

Interested, if it's still going. Are you taking bids? Or is it first in best dressed?

AMAZING, thankyou! Signed, please?
My one regret is that my mum's not still around for me to show it off to. She was an avid reader, would've been super-stoked. I read her copy a few years back & loved it.

Kia ora Heather/Jackson/Russell-
Heather, your signed copy of tbp (with a small additional enclosure - the only published prequel to tbp, also excellent for keeping hot plates off tables) will go out in Monday's postbag.
Jackson- I'm money-poor at the moment, but resource rich eh?
And Russell - this place is wonderful & so are you- cheers everyone! -

Consider my small contribution a symbol of how much I enjoy this blog - it's a shining light in my almost-daily internet crapshoots.

Dear Islander, I so wish things were easier for you, in a material sense.
-
Islander, in reply to
Dear Lilith- they are pretty easy! I've got a roof over my head; I grow & catch & otherwise harvest some of my food; I enjoy good health (aside from periodic chest & tooth infections which I've had since kiddihood)annnnd- most of all - I am part of a caring whanau - with friends!
OK, that's a mix of immaterial & material - but while $$$ are a factor in the easiness of living, it's generally a temporary annoyance - and there are ways round it-
love you for caring - ka mihi mahana ki a koe n/n Keri

Had to wait for some money to come in - and now my internet banking tells me it won't actually be sent until sometime Monday night ... but it's on it's way :)

And oops I may have been inspired to post my own thoughts on the subscription model How (much) to pay for the new media? #trackback
