  • Mark Easterbrook,

I've seen the Mad Professor a couple of times, and this thread's starting to sound more and more like the pronouncements of his friend Mr Lee "Scratch" Perry...

  • Riddley Walker,

Mr Perry's is probably a fairly sane approach given the circumstances

[Batty wants Tyrell to extend his lifespan]
Tyrell: Would you... like to be upgraded?
Batty: I had in mind something a little more radical.
Tyrell: What... what seems to be the problem?
    Batty: Death.
Tyrell: Death, ah, well that's a little out of my jurisdiction. You...
Batty: I WANT MORE LIFE, f*cker!

  • hamishm,

The force flows strongly in this thread. We sense that the secrets of Swedish meatballs may soon be loose.
Can you handle that? When the cheese is on, who then will say "Eek a mouse"?
Can you handle the answer to "Do androids dream of electronic sheep?

  • Riddley Walker,

hamishm, there comes a time when each and every one of us needs to stand up and say "eek. a mouse".
i'm not saying i'd like it, but i'd handle the swedish meatballs if i had too. pale root vegetables are daunting but not insurmountable.

    Get up, stand up.
Aye young Riddley, you see the inherent twoness of the Swedish MEATball being derived from a pale root vegetable.
When you can take the swede from my hand, you may go.

Ahem, I think you'll find that Agent Riddley is My Minion and a very naughty one at that. However wasn't Kung Foo great...
When you can snatch the pebble from my hand Grasshopper, you may leave the monastery. Blind monk.

  • Riddley Walker,

Eusa thus far i have only succeeded in grasping the Perfidious Parsnip of Perspecuity, but your encouragement to Strive for the Swede is most flattering.

  • Riddley Walker,

btw, did you know that minion and (fillet) mignon share the same etymology?

    AKL • Since Feb 2007 • 890 posts Report

  • merc,

    Cough, over-compensation...etymology smetymology, grief I sound like a G.O.M.
Parsnips suck, mouse meatballs are nice, and guinea pigs are a food source for Peruvians, though I havn't been there to verify this, I may use The Second Attention to do just that. Agent Riddley has anyone ever told you that your gravytar resembles a shaved guinea pig, and I mean this respectfully of course.

  • Riddley Walker,

resembles? resembles? i've snacked on hyrax, i believe they're of the same family.
oh but the meatballs would be scrumptious. love those little mousies, mousies what i love to eat. bite their little heads off, nibble on their tiny feet.

  • merc,

Hyrax are a high order of mini horse actually. But your riff got my head swaying in a hands in the air dance like RB way...keep going with the carney riff...do you think Mickey ate mouse?

  • Riddley Walker,

i thought it tasted a bit horsey. hi ho slivers.
i think Mickey's tastes were quite diverse but they are likely to have included mousies. he may have become a little confused in latter years considering Mickey's creator and Art Spiegelman's characterization of mousies.

I think you'll find that Agent Riddley is My Minion

Humble apologies Great Wahoonie, I was merely pointing out to Agent Riddley that the way of the Parsnip and assorted vegetabicular delights was open to him.
Since I has assumed that minions were a type of small onion I felt that there would a steak connection somewhere.
How would anyone eat a Toyota Hyrax? Would one grind it up and eat it in sandwiches?
Now a Hamster, there's plenty of good eating on one of them and you can make them into jam.

  • merc,

True story, when I lived in Mt Eden, my 2nd floor window looked out a big bamboo bush, 40 feet high. I was gazing out the window, as you do in Mt Eden and gazed straight into the eyes of a very large, very calm hampster, tan and white, puffy cheeks (like SPG but groomed), I stared back, it stared at me, it said...
    I never saw it again.

How large? The size of a dog? Horse? Tell me what you'd been smoking & why you live in a 40ft bamboo bush with windows?

  • hamishm,

It was trying to tell you something, dude. Wonder how it got to be in Mt Eden.
A collegue in Melbourne ordered a group of Hamsters for a project and they never arrived. The trackback trail at various airports ended in Los Angeles so we guessed that that was where they made their break.
Or maybe the baggage hamdlers made the Oakland/ Auckland mistake?
