  • Angus Robertson,

    I'm a Spurs fan, it's spelt M-A-S-O-C-H-I-S-T-I-C.

Picked my team back in the 80s on the basis of their uniform and seeing them win a highlighted game on TV1's sunday football show. The colour was sky blue and the win was not indicative, still reckon I could go for one of them strips though.

  • Yamis,

OK whingeing bitch mode here, but Hadyn.

"**Rugby** Fashion" would probably be a more apt title.

Ditto (Spurs right?); plus the fact that they won the FA Cup replay in '80-something.

  • Richard Body,

Surely the stade francais uniform must be a candidate for one of the more horrendous uniforms out there? There might even be a walla-bra in there somewhere.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgN1o747V4Q illustrates it nicely, as well a bit of continental biffo.

  • Peter Darlington,

That’s so tempting. So very, very tempting.

The panthers jersey must be mentioned (if not shown)

Worse Coventry, made 4th round of Cup last year though.

  • Paul Dowden,

I now it's a bit late but Hayden has corroboration:

Rugby’s greatest appeal lies in its uniforms.

  • Hadyn Green,

    If I may Paul, LOL!

Unlike other sports where jerseys are made out of nylon or mesh, Rugby jerseys are like thick sweatshirts with collars! In fact there is no other jersey on earth that can move so seamlessly from the playing field to the farmers market

It's nice to know other whities like it too. Though the demise of the rugby jersey (as an actual jersey) is a pity.

I love this comment by the way (on Stuff White People Like):

This is the stupidest website I’ve ever seen. It’s not funny… It’s just dumb.

Come to Detroit for your book signing. I want to fight you.

  • Emma Hart,

The worst uniforms in New Zealand sport are usually worn by our cricketers though.

Prescient, dude. I mean, seriously, wtf?

Word. What's with that... faux-bra-esque but slightly too high man-boob-framing graphic on the shirt?

playing field to the farmers market

I love that that is true in both rural NZ and hippy SF, but in totally different ways.

I wonder if the brief was to make them look something like low-grade Transformers.

New Zealand Cricket: We have this great, distinctive uniform everybody likes...

Canterbury: And you want us to fix it? Consider it done!

  • Kyle Matthews,

Just an idea, but could the cricket team stick with a playing uniform for two seasons in a row, as a minimum?

I mean there's an uproar if the All Blacks put a logo on their breast, the cricket team seems to be advertising just where their breasts are these days.

It's Canterbury's Wallabra (tm) in action again.

Richard Irvine has a great breakdown of the new unis
