The guy in the middle is Russ Barron Prez of the Christchurch RSA and a real good bloke. He took the stand to keep poppies being made at Kilmarnock Enterprises (Sheltered Workshop) but this was outsourced to China.
Here's a photo of him from earlier this year belly aching about the Councils failure to repair the Bridge of Remembrance. -
Is anyone in contact with Olly Olsen "Keep cool till after school"?
I know he has been working hard in the community since kids TV went the way of Hi 5. He has recently popped up doing the hard yards in the East of Christchurch.
We need a real alternative for Mayor or even a real good Councillor. Anyone keen to see if he wants to put himself through the political wringer?
For that matter, Sam Johnson (the Christs' Kid) should stand.
The others raising there hands at the moment aren't worthy. -
Hi Just Thinking here is a fb link for Olly. https://www.facebook.com/ollytehata?fref=ts
He has been a great supporter for over two years for people in the eastern suburbs one of them Brooklyn where he lives. Advocating and negotiating to come to some agreement for residents who have no way to get their housing problems resolved post quake. -

Beautiful Gudrun, do you have others to pop on the Autumn thread? : )

Thank you Nora for the compliment. Re Autumn thread, i fear i might add to information overload so i kind of stick to this wee patch mainly as others too might want to contribute what is a fine collection of fabulous photos.

I keep seeing your photos in my facebook feed Gudrun as I know several of the Canterbury guys - great to see you supporting the sport.
I'll be refereeing them 29th and 30th when they come down to Dunedin. The official you've caught there in the photo with Hayden Argyle is Ryan Cairns, one of my colleagues.

Hi Kyle, what a pleasant surprise. From a photographer's point of view it is a very challenging task to capture players moving the speed they are and in any given direction from second to second. By keeping up and recording more games i have learned a lot but still am looking forward to take that one snap that will remain in peoples memory. Glad the RED DEVILS have friends down in Dunedin who have a connection with them. Just wish they had governmental support where they would not have to work and just train and play. Miracles happen to those who believe right?
