Not quite so short a blip. There was a ferrocrete hull on what seemed like permanent display in someones back yard at the top of Morley St in New Plymouth. Years of driving past it in the 80's. Grey and weathered. Then one day it was gone.
Was it finished? How did they get it out?
I do hope it found itself finished and in the water, enjoyed by those that made it. Just like Loxley.

Yup, most, if not all, commercial and industrial CO2 is taken from the natural gas fields – e.g. Kapuni is around 40% CO2. This is stripped out at the production station(s), and processed for industrial supply at some (e.g. Kapuni and Oaonui from memory). Otherwise would be released at the production station, or when the gas is burnt at power stations, petrochemical plants (who often can’t use gas with CO2), gas-fired boilers/heaters (e.g. dairy factories, breweries, swimming pools, schools, universities and hospitals in the NI), restaurants and residential gas heating and cooking.
Is it better to (re)use an effluent stream in an industrial process, or just release to the environment without making use of it, aside the from the arguments over which industries/end users should use gas as an energy supply or commodity?
Cheers,

Mitchell formerly helped run the metered news paywall at Murdoch paper The Australian, which starts at $4 a week for web and app access and moves up through various print subscription bundles. The paper was an early mover but currently still has only 70,000 subscribers, which isn’t sustainable.
I read that as a minimum of AUD$14.5 million p.a, without counting advertising income. Is that really unsustainable? Or is that a reflection of having to maintain hard copy (capital equipment, marginal costs of printing) as well as a digital presence (which I see as mostly cost of content)?

Firstly, no monarch or governor-general of an independent Commonwealth realm has vetoed a bill in 300 years.
I had a conversation with someone who knows a fair bit about Governers General on a similar topic, and they noted that it isn't so much a formal refusal to sign, but governments, after "reflection" decide not to proceed with assent, if something is not sitting quite right.
This has happened at least once in a realm, if I recall correctly.
