It included English? Interesting! Anything else you can recall?
That was the only bit that stood out.
The rest of what I remember:
How likely are you to vote?
Which party would you vote for if the election was tomorrow?
How likely are you to vote for a different party?
... and who would that be?
Which party do you think of for each of this long list of phrases? The only one that really sticks in my mind was "which party would best crack down on crime", because I think reducing crime is important but cracking down isn't necessarily the same thing.
What is the biggest issue for you this election?
The demographic questions were employment status and number of children. I don't think I've done one of these before where they didn't ask for income band. -
I've been phoned to do a poll by Curia, David Farrar's company so probably on behalf of National. The question that I found interesting was being asked to give scores to party leaders, with a list of Norman/Peters/Key/Cunliffe/English.

Perhaps a little more impetus to passing this? I’m sure the lawyers hereabouts could have a field day picking that bill apart, but it at least seems like a good and necessary step forward
Perhaps, or perhaps it'd just provide a way to inhibit discussions like this one.

TV in a wholly commercial environment will start to feel pretty weird ... especially if you happen to be in the half of the population that’s not in a target demographic
Or if you're in the two thirds who are part of such a demographic but didn't watch that show.

I think the reason that the turnout for the Auckland Council elections was so low was that almost all media coverage of it was focussed just on the Mayoralty, and most people thought that particular race was a foregone conclusion. If this scandal had happened a week or three earlier it would have put the result in doubt, which may well have increased Len Brown's vote by bringing out people who were only voting because they were worried that one of his opponents might have a chance.

Yes, it was the Local Government Commission. It was at least an improvement on their earlier draft where the difference between number of voters was a factor of 2 rather than "only" 1.5.
If I remember correctly much of the problem was the MPs promising rural areas, especially Rodney*, that they'd have their own representative despite the low number of residents.
*I mean the district/ward, not singling out the ACT MP who was heavily involved.
